Taru Chaddha, Founder of RedMat Pilates

Meet the Founder

Taru Chaddha, the founder of RedMat Fitness, is a pioneer in bringing Pilates to India as a transformative fitness practice. After a decade-long corporate career in outsourcing, she discovered Pilates in 2010 while searching for an effective post-pregnancy workout. Dissatisfied with conventional fitness options, she was drawn to Pilates’ scientific approach, which tailors workouts to individual health histories and goals.

Her journey led her to become a certified Pilates instructor from the STOTT School in Canada, with additional expertise in Neurokinetic Therapy, PreNatal fitness, Diastasis Recti, and Functional Anatomy.

Taru has also worked as the resident Pilates trainer for Cirque du Soleil’s visiting troupe in Delhi.

Today, she is committed to changing how Indian women approach fitness—focusing on strength and holistic well-being rather than just weight loss. Through RedMat and its online platform, Xpress Live, she aims to make Pilates accessible to women across India and beyond.

Her personal fitness mantra: "Just move to stay fit!"
